Clobazam and clonazepam use in epilepsy: Results from a UK database incident user cohort study

Both clobazam (CLB) and clonazepam (CZP) are used in the EU as an anticonvulsant (82 char).

CLB is approved in the US as adjunctive treatment for Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (79 char).

Among patients with epilepsy in the UK, CLB is more often prescribed than CZP (79 char).

By study end, median CLB dosage did not increase while CZP dosage increased 25%–50% (85 char).

Results suggest that UK physicians prefer CLB over CZP to treat epilepsy (74 char).
