A ternary solvent mixture of chlorobenzene, cyclohexanone, diiodooctane, is used for the processing of PTB7:PC70BM solar cells. The ternary mixture has been shown to improve the J-V characteristics of the solar cell devices. The active layer's crystallinity and D/A interfacial area are the parameters most affected by the ternary blend processing.
