Effects of HRTs on denitrification using sludge carbon source was analyzed. EEM with FRI was introduced to analyze the changes of DOM in sludge carbon sources. VFAs were easily used by denitrifiers with WAS acidogenic liquid as carbon source. Obvious superiority of sludge acidogenic liquid was obtained by kinetics analysis.
