Vulgarisins B–D were isolated from Prunella vulgaris Linn. Compounds 1–3 were contained a rare 5/6/4/5 fused tetracyclic ring diterpenoid skeleton. The absolute configurations of 1–3 were confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction as well as CD analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 demonstrated modest cytotoxicity activity against human lung carcinoma A549 cell line.
