Cytosolic aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (aaRSs) can relocalize into organelles. Bioinformatic predictions identify putative mitochondrial or nuclear localization sequences in cytosolic aaRS sequences. Experimental approaches strongly support the multi-localization of cytosolic aaRSs.
