An experiment study of biomass steam gasification over NiO/Dolomite for hydrogen-rich gas production

Gasification bed and sorption/reforming bed were set within one reactor, but at different temperature zone. With additive adding in both beds got the higher hydrogen yield and lower CO2 amount. With 2wt.% of NiO impregnated on dolomite, it got highest hydrogen yield of 510 ml/g. Formation of NiO–MgO was confirmed by XRD, which led to the enhanced catalysis. Ni crystallite size increased with Nickel content, caused the risen of carbon deposition.
