A new denoising method is introduced to remove noise in digital images.

Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) is generated for deriving results.

IVIFSs are then type reduced by employing probabilistic sum of the upper and lower limits of the interval.

Experimental results are provided to show that the proposed method is better than other methods.
