I-V characteristics study of NiFe2O4 nanoparticles with varying particle sizes.

Experiments evident electrical hysteretic behaviour, i.e., electrical memory effect.

Magnetic field dependent electrical irreversibility is due to magnetostriction.

A phenomenological model has been proposed on the light of induced polarization.

Such electrical irreversibility decreases with increasing particle sizes.
