Iron oxide containing graphene/carbon nanotube based carbon aerogel as an efficient E-Fenton cathode for the degradation of methyl blue

Iron oxide containing graphene/carbon nanotube based carbon aerogel (Fe-GMCA) with high E-Fenton catalytic efficiency was prepared.

Fe-GMCA possessed excellent stability and large electrochemical surface area.

Fe-GMCA could conserve micro-mesoporous structure very well even if it was crushed.

Fe-GMCA had better performance in methyl blue degradation by electro-Fenton system.
