We synthesized two new synthetic cathinones MACHP and MAOP. MACHP and MAOP are synthetic cathinones with alpha-carbon modification. MACHP and MAOP can produce rewarding effects. MACHP, but not MAOP, supports self-administration. MACHP and MAOP have the ability to decrease DAT gene expression.
