STL models are automatically meshed and used for the scaled boundary finite element analyses. Hanging nodes can be naturally incorporated by the SBFEM. High order elements can be utilised in the polyhedral mesh for stress analyses. The recovery of sharp features is achieved in the proposed polyhedral mesh generation method.
