The phylogeny of the Noteridae is inferred from DNA sequence data. Three partitioning strategies are implemented to the dataset; effects are compared. Partitioning is shown to affect tree topology and help highlight problematic areas. Caution is advised in using the iterative k-means partitioning method. A modified classification of Noteridae is proposed based on our results.
