Novel FeMnCoCrAl high entropy alloy family is introduced for the first time.

Single BCC phase solid solution form at equiatomic and non-equiatomic compositions.

Ab-initio predictions of BCC phase stability agree with experiments.

Equiatomic thin film and as-cast bulk HEA exhibit similar structure and properties.

Combinatorial alloy design approach would enable accelerated exploration of HEAs.
