Optical birefringence was magnetically induced in selected binary mixtures. New excess function was proposed based on measured Cotton-Mouton constant. Excess Cotton-Mouton constant provides direct information on molecular orientation. Nonzero excess Cotton-Mouton constant and excess volume indicates complex formation. In the pair-aggregate angular and radial correlations are decoupled.
