文摘
A series of porphyrin derivatives with four meso-substituted amide groups and their zinc coordination compounds have been synthesized and characterized. The thermal behavior and morphology of these compounds were investigated using thermogravimetry (TG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarizing optical microscopy (POM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Atom Force Microscopy (AFM). The ligands exhibited a columnar mesophase. However, their corresponding zinc coordination compounds showed only a crystalline state. DSC and XRD data indicated that the ligands were amorphous while the complexes were crystalline at room temperature. Using the porphyrin derivatives as donor materials and 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA) as the acceptor material, organic photovoltaic devices were fabricated. The device structure was ITO/porphyrin derivative:PTCDA/Al. The relationship between the morphology and photovoltaic properties was investigated. It was found that the crystalline morphology of the film was beneficial for improving the efficiency of the devices.
