Regional and inter-hospital differences in the utilisation of liver surgery for patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases in the Netherlands
文摘
Inter-hospital variation in treatment of colorectal liver metastases is large. Only 12% of patients underwent liver surgery between 2008 and 2012. Of these patients, 58% were referred to another hospital to undergo liver surgery. The proportion of patients per hospital treated surgically varied between 2% and 26%. Patients diagnosed in a dedicated liver center had a higher chance of surgery.
