Historical data from a National Park in Indonesia shows the possible decline of amphibian communities in tropical Asia. There is a possible elevational shift in amphibian distribution, with two species no longer found at higher elevations. Long-term study is valuable to understand the dynamics of amphibians in the less well-documented areas of tropical Asia. We recommend that amphibians are used as key indicators for Park management, and that they are monitored regularly.
