Three cases with clonal cytogenetic abnormalities were pathologically diagnosed as NHL at the second lymph node biopsy. Cytogenetic abnormalities may precede morphological alteration in developing NHL. Follow-up and rebiopsy must be performed in patients who are cytogenetically abnormal but morphologically benign.
