A simple protocol to prepare almost monodisperse hyaluronan is presented. The process is easily up-scalable for acid and enzymatically degraded hyaluronan. SEC-MALLS conditions were optimized with the emphasis laid on separation quality. Novel polydispersity-related parameter called distribution angle is introduced.
