Racial/ethnic differences in initiation of and engagement with addictions treatment among patients with alcohol use disorders in the veterans health administration
文摘
We assessed if odds of treatment utilization differed between races/ethnicities. We found that Black patients had higher odds of initiation and engagement than Whites. We found Hispanic patients had higher odds of initiation relative to Whites. Future research is needed to understand mechanisms underlying observed differences.
