Methylone and mephedrone induce hyperthermia. Methylone and mephedrone increase Temperature Area Under the Curve (TAUC). The α1 and β adrenergic receptor antagonist carvedilol blocks this hyperthermia. Carvedilol significantly reduced the TAUC associated with methylone or mephedrone.
