Selective laser sintering (SLS) is explored for the first time to make microfiltration membranes from polyamide-12. The effect of SLS processing parameters on membrane structure and porosity was investigated. Laser energy density of 0.1 J/mm2 results in membranes with the highest rejection and relatively high pure water flux.
