MWCNTs was modified by the radicals of TBBPA resulting from peroxidase-mediated reaction. Modified MWCNTs had better stability and smaller size than that of MWCNTs and TBBPA-adsorbed MWCNTs. Modified MWCNTs passed through the zebrafish chorion and entered the embryo inducing toxicity. Modified MWCNTs was transferred from the zebrafish embryo to the neonates.
