Three gradient-free methods are applied to optimisation of an advanced ultra-supercritical power plant unit.

Thirteen decision parameters are considered in the optimisation process.

Computing time for each of the optimisation method is analysed.

Rise in efficiency by 0.34 percentage points in comparison with the reference plant is achieved.
