Post-traumatic transient cortical blindness (PTTCB) can occur following minor blunt head trauma.

It is often transient and lasts less than 24 h.

Patients are normally from a paediatric age group.

Vasospasm and cortical edema are two main hypotheses behind the pathophysiology of PTTCB.

CT scan and MRI are essential to exclude a surgical cause and guide the treatment plan.
