Parametric analysis using AMP and MEA as aqueous solvents for CO2 absorption

A rate based model is proposed, validated for MEA and AMP aqueous solvents.

Inlet flow rates and liquid temperature, amine molarity and packing affect performance.

Liquid outlet temperature is affected by the inlet liquid and gas temperatures.

MEA achieves more efficient CO2 absorption than AMP under the same conditions.
