Potassium (K) supply affects K accumulation and photosynthetic physiology in two cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivars with different K sensitivities
K application changed the K accumulation pattern for both cultivars.
•
Photosynthesis, chlorophyll fluorescence and carbohydrates contents were affected by K.
•
Stomatal limitation dominated the reduction in m>Pm>n at BSS for Simian 3 and at PFS for Siza 3. Since then, non-stomatal factors dominated the reduction.
•
m>Pm>n, chl a + b and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters under K deficiency were more negative in Siza than Simian 3.
•
Rubisco activation state and SuSy activity were more sensitive to K for Siza 3.
