The composting process of different organic wastes was evaluated at pilot scale. Odor concentration evolution fitted correctly to a Gaussian regression in all cases. A statistical analysis was performed to evaluate the odor emissions. Biodegradation rate of each substrate was linearly correlative to odor emission rate. OFMSW composting could produce higher odor impact than other substrates evaluated.
