Morphologically intact microcapsules extracted from the pollens of Corylus avellana. Pantoprazole was entrapped within the sporopollenin microcapsules. The encapsulation efficiency by passive loading technique was found to be 28.81%. Drug-loaded microcapsules exhibited better release performance than the drug itself.
