The proposed micro-modelling approach can capture well the response of partially grouted reinforced masonry walls with openings. Shear strength and displacement ductility of a perforated wall could be determined from the shear strength of wall without opening and the aspect ratio of their piers. Shear strength increases proportionally with horizontal reinforcement ratio of pier, regardless of its aspect ratio Displacement ductility would be dependent on an interaction between both aspect ratio and horizontal reinforcement ratio of pier.
