Development of a method for determination of AuNPs and Au3+ by HPLC-ICP-MS. The method is used to study AuNPs or Au3+ transformations during toxicological test. Interaction with proteins are shown in the presence of DMEM. Oxidation processes of AuNPs are shown in the presence of cells and DMEM. The results are of interest for the interpretation of toxicological studies.
