Microfibrilated cellulose as a model for soft colloid flocculation with polyelectrolytes
详细信息    查看全文
文摘
The effect of polyelectrolyte morphology, charge, Mw and concentration on flocculation of cellulose nanofiber suspension was studied. Polyelectrolyte maximum surface coverage scale inversely to polymer charge density and is independent of polymer Mw and morphology. Properties of soft colloids flocs (size, strength, reformation) can be controlled by the polyelectrolyte charge density and concentration.

Soft colloids flocs properties and reflocculation ability are analysed for specific industrial applications.
