Development and performance evaluation of an algal biofilm reactor for treatment of multiple wastewaters and characterization of biomass for diverse applications
First algal biofilm reactor with nonwoven fabric for growth & in-situ harvesting. Maximum biomass productivity of 4 g m−2 d−1 in neat livestock wastewater (LSW). 70–98% nutrient removal in high strength LSW & anaerobically digested slurry (ADS). Suitability of domestic grey water (DGW) biomass as biogas feedstock. LSW & ADS grown biomass as potential livestock feed and biofertilizer.
