We propose a novel method for trabecular bone texture characterization. We investigate the statistical behavior of the phase information in the complex wavelet domain. Two circular parametric models are considered (Von Mises and Wrapped Cauchy). The proposed models are tested on Bone radiographs dataset and yield good results in terms of classification rates.
