Evolution of Eocene to Oligocene arc-related volcanism in the North Patagonian Andes (39-41°S), prior to the break-up of the Farallon plate
文摘
New geochemical data for Paleogene North Patagonian magmas is shown in this work. Eocene magmatism shows limited slab influence and a slightly alkaline tendency. Oligocene to Miocene arc rocks show an increase slab signal and changes in magma source. Farallon plate break-up is a turning point in the development of this magmatism.
