This study undertook a content analysis of 286 articles on SSCM presenting knowledge gaps and research opportunities. Articles were analyzed according to research methodology, research design, operation research /mathematical tools, etc. Researches on SSCM have gained momentum especially in the past few years to enhance organizational performance. SSCM is still a fruitful research area with ample opportunities such as more quantitative research, application of LNP etc.
