An algorithm, TensiStrength, is introduced to detect stress and relaxation strength in social web texts. TensiStrength detects stress and relaxation strength in tweets with a significant agreement rate with human judgements. Human annotated corpora and associated resources are introduced for the stress and relaxation strength detection task.
