Anaplasma spp. and Theileria spp. were found in Korean water deer, Korean raccoon dog, and roe deer. T. luwenshuni was the most prevalent species found in Korean water deer. This study is the first report of the infections of A. bovis in Korean raccoon dog. This highlights the role of wild animals in the transmission of zoonotic tick-borne pathogens.
