Bubbly flow mapping in the anode channel of a direct methanol fuel cell via PIV investigation

文摘
The CO2 bubbles at the anode cover the free surface of the GDL lowering performance. Bubbly flow was characterized in terms of residence time and bubble size. Current density, methanol and air flow rate deeply influence cell performance. Low Re number in the anode favors the generation of gas slug in the anode channel. The unfavorable two-phase flow have been confined on a Re/current density map.
