Oxygen transport and chemical compatibility with electrode materials in scheelite-type LaWxNb1−xO4+x/2 ceramic electrolyte

LaWxNb1−xO4+x/2 ceramics (x = 0.16) (LW16N) prepared via a solid state route. Ionic/electronic conductivity studied by impedance spectroscopy (IS) measurements. Total conductivity: 1.4·10−3 S cm−1 in air and 6.1·10−3 S cm−1 in dry H2 (800 °C). IS measurements coherent with predominant oxygen ion transport in a wide pO2 range. Study of compatibility of LW16N with standard cathode materials.
