RPB reactors intensify the mass transfer efficiency in the biocatalytic reaction. Compared to the CSTR, the substrate and the enzyme have an enhanced micromixing. The hydrolysis yield of RPB is nearly 20% higher than that of CSTR. The yield of esterification kept stable in the fifth batch.
