Microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of directionally-solidified TiAlNb alloy in different temperature gradients

The alloy can be well directionally solidified as V = 8.33 μm/s and P = 45 kW or 48 kW.

The directional solidification alloy yields UTS 589.4 MPa and elongation 1.16%.

Nanoindentation hardness and lamellar width   has relation of HN=16.12d−0.127 and r2=0.992.

Relation   is View the MathML source and r'2=0.971as as-cast and HT considered.

B2 phase is reduced by annealing and HT2 sample has a relatively better property.
