Incomplete geocoding and spatial sampling: The effects of locational errors on population total estimation
详细信息    查看全文
文摘
The development of geocoding techniques has increased the georeferenced microdata availability and broaden spatial analysis. Spatial microdata allow to conduct surveys using spatial sampling that use exact locations of all units in the population. Spatial sampling methods lead to particularly efficient estimates of population totals. Units locations are often not exact in practice and georeferenced microdata are affected by inaccuracy in spatial information. Even in presence of inaccuracy in spatial information, spatial sampling lead to more efficient estimates.
