The fundamental in-plane shear behavior of SC walls was developed, reviewed, and demonstrated experimentally.

The experimental database of pure in-plane shear tests conducted on SC wall panels and SC walls with boundary elements or flanges was compiled.

The in-plane shear strength of specimens in the database was compared with three design equations (ACI 349M-06, MBM, and AISC N690s1).

Strength reduction factors (ϕ) were recommended for the design equations based on the reliability analysis results.
