Poststroke participants had a wide range of haptic performance, the majority were impaired.
•
A good relationship was found between ipsilesional Thal–M1 integrity and poststroke haptics.
•
Around 90% of haptic performance was predicted by frontoparietal white matter integrity.
•
Precuneus interhemispheric tract integrity was a strong predictor of haptic performance.
•
Diminished integrity across the frontoparietal network suggests a general stroke-related factor.
