Ceria-promoted Ni-Sn catalysts supported on carbon are active in low temperature glycerol steam reforming. CeO2 dispersed on carbon enhances the water-gas shift reaction, thus promoting the selectivity towards hydrogen. Formation of a Ni-Sn alloy mitigates Ni sintering and improves catalyst’s stability.
