A new parabolic solvent chamber model is developed to simulate the VAPEX process. Solvent chambers at different times are observed and their digital images are digitized. Transient solvent chamber evolution and heavy oil production are predicted simultaneously. This new analytical model gives the best predictions in the solvent chamber spreading phase.
