Zircon U–Pb LA-ICP-MS dating shows that Luoboling porphyry Cu–Mo deposit formed at ~ 100 Ma. Zircon grains from both barren and ore-bearing samples have high Ce4 +/Ce3 + values, suggesting plate subduction. The REE of barren samples is more fractionated than that of ore-bearing samples, likely controlled by water contents.
