Changes in synaptic plasticity and expression of glutamate receptor subunits in the CA1 and CA3 areas of the hippocampus after transient global ischemia

文摘

Transient global ischemia induced changes in number of synapses and thickness of PSD in the CA1 area but not CA3 region.

The NR2B/NR2A and GluR1/GluR2 ratios increased in the CA1 area but not CA3 region after ischemia.

Changes in synaptic morphology and glutamate receptor subunits in the CA1 area may be related to ischemic-neuronal death.
