UV-B adversely affects growth of wheat seedlings. It has occurred due to enhanced oxidative stress and damage in wheat. Si and SiNp both protect wheat seedlings against UV-B SiNps appear to be more effective in alleviating UV-B stress than Si. Nitric oxide signaling appear to play a crucial role in regulating UV-B stress in wheat.
